Last updated: September 14, 2023

Small shops and cozy shopping streets are charming, but it’s often comfortable and convenient to shop for everything in the same place. Clothes for your children, luxury food for the party this weekend, a gift for your sister’s birthday, and a new charger for your phone. In addition, the malls have plenty of good restaurants, whether you fancy a luxurious lunch or a fast-food dinner.

In short, everything you need is under the same roof (even more perfect when it rains) – shops, services, restaurants, cafes, entertainment, and experiences. Some malls also offer gyms and other exercise facilities, spas, health care, and movie theaters. They simply make your busy life a little easier. Besides, it’s nice to stroll around and botanize in the large selection.

It has been around since 1976 and is today one of the largest and most popular malls in Stockholm City. Every year, millions of people, both Stockholmers and tourists, visit the shopping center.

The mall is a shopper’s paradise and has more than 50 stores with everything you could possibly need (and want). Here you can find fashion, interior design, technology, toys, beauty products, and much more. You’ll find large Swedish chains as well as world-famous international brands. After you’ve shopped till you’re dropped – or if you need a break – you can settle down at one of the 31 high-class restaurants and cafés. Here you can enjoy everything from fast food to fine dining or just have a nice coffee. And don’t miss taking the elevator up to the two rooftop bars TAK and Stockholm Under Stjärnorna, which offer great cocktails and some of Stockholm’s best views. Brobergs Sturegallerian

The legendary tobacco shop Brobergs in Sturegallerian

Sturegallerian, located at Stureplan in Östermalm, is perhaps Stockholm’s most luxurious mall, with a carefully selected range of lifestyle goods, food and drink, art events, and wellness. This ancient and grand building with fantastic architecture has been a favored shopping destination for both Stockholmers and tourists since the late 1980s. And with the ongoing renovations of Sturekvarteret, we can look forward to an even more wonderful experience at one of Stockholm’s best malls in the future.

Sturegallerian has many exclusive stores where you can find high-end fashion in women’s clothing, men’s clothing, shoes, designer bags, and accessories from well-known brands. Björn Borg, Massimo Dutti, Calzedonia, Affordable Luxury, Intimissimi, and Luca Faloni are just a few examples. You can also visit the classic bookstore Hedengrens, invest in premium technology at Bang & Olufsen, and enjoy delicious licorice at Lakrids by Bülow. Or why not sharpen your swing with a golf simulator at Alba Golf?

When it comes to food and drink, the shopping center offers several excellent dining experiences. Enjoy high-class food and drink at, among others, the classic Sturehof (which has been voted the world’s 8th best restaurant), Tures Brasserie och Bar, Señor Bob, or Supper. If you’re more in the mood for a coffee, there are Curman, Gateau, or Naked Juice Bar. In other words, everything a bon vivant could need. And don’t miss what might be the biggest highlight in Sturegallerian – Sturebadet, one of Stockholm’s most exclusive spa and fitness facilities.
