Gallerian

Shop everything you need in the middle of Stockholm city

Gallerian is an iconic retail destination and meeting spot in Stockholm with a superior location in the heart of the city. It has been around since 1976 and is today one of the largest and most popular malls in Stockholm City. Every year, millions of people, both Stockholmers and tourists, visit the shopping center.

The mall is a shopper’s paradise and has more than 50 stores with everything you could possibly need (and want). Here you can find fashion, interior design, technology, toys, beauty products, and much more. You’ll find large Swedish chains as well as world-famous international brands. KICKS Flagship Store, World of Toys, Foot Locker, and Nike Store are just a few of the shops. And last but not least – IKEA. In their large city department store, there are many great home products.

After you’ve shopped till you’re dropped – or if you need a break – you can settle down at one of the 31 high-class restaurants and cafés. Here you can enjoy everything from fast food to fine dining or just have a nice coffee. And don’t miss taking the elevator up to the two rooftop bars TAK and Stockholm Under Stjärnorna, which offer great cocktails and some of Stockholm’s best views. Sturegallerian, located at Stureplan in Östermalm, is perhaps Stockholm’s most luxurious mall, with a carefully selected range of lifestyle goods, food and drink, art events, and wellness. This ancient and grand building with fantastic architecture has been a favored shopping destination for both Stockholmers and tourists since the late 1980s. And with the ongoing renovations of Sturekvarteret, we can look forward to an even more wonderful experience at one of Stockholm’s best malls in the future.

Sturegallerian has many exclusive stores where you can find high-end fashion in women’s clothing, men’s clothing, shoes, designer bags, and accessories from well-known brands. You get to this gigantic shopping mecca, located next to Friends Arena and Solna station, in just a few minutes from Stockholm city. When you arrive, you’ll be greeted by 100,000 square meters of shopping, restaurants, activities, experiences, service, and much more. Here is, for example, Sweden’s most modern and magnific cinema, Filmstaden Scandinavia, which, among other things, has a popular IMAX theatre.

Few shopping centers can match the Westfield Mall of Scandinavia if you want to shop. There are 224 stores – exclusive brands, fashion and lifestyle stores, and a selection of pop-ups. All the famous Swedish chains such as H&M, Åhléns, Polarn O. Pyret, Stadium, Apoteket, Elgiganten, Systembolaget, and Clas Ohlson are represented, and you’ll also find many exclusive brands, both domestic and international. So it’s no surprise that many rank this as one of Stockholm’s best shopping malls.

There are playrooms for the children, and if you get hungry during the shopping tour, you can sit down at one of the restaurants. Söderhallarna

Söderhallarna is a shopping center in Södermalm, by Medborgarplatsen, primarily focusing on fantastic food. Since 1992, this has been one of the city’s top food destinations, where fresh ingredients and genuine food craftsmanship are central. Whether you want to spice up your everyday meals or find high-quality fresh ingredients for a weekend dinner with friends, you’ll find everything you need (and more). And in addition to a high-class food market, Söderhallarna also offers some of Södermalm’s best restaurants if you want a good lunch or dinner. Here you can find cuisine from all corners of the world, so prepare for a parade of lovely aromas when you enter this world of culinary knowledge.

But Söderhallarna isn’t just about food. You can also do an eye examination and get new glasses from an optician, buy a nice bag, find new underwear, or get some office supplies. There’s also a hairdresser, cinema, medical center, and a co-working space if you need a place to work. The easiest way to get here is by subway, but if you need parking for your car, there’s also a parking garage.

Söderhallarna is currently closed for redevelopment, a project scheduled for completion in 2026.

This popular mall welcomed its first customer in 1989 and has since grown to 123 stores, making it one of Stockholm’s largest shopping centers. You can easily get here by car (plenty of parking spaces and 3 hours of free parking) or by bus.

Fältöversten is a shopping mall in Östermalm located on the ground floor below several large residential buildings in a quarter with the same name. Since 1973, the shopping center has been a natural part of people’s lives around the square Karlaplan. Over the years, the 60 shops and restaurants have provided locals, Stockholmers, and visitors with everything from great shopping to culinary dining experiences. Plus, exceptional service for all your everyday needs, including hairdresser, dentist, and library.

In the stores, you can shop for fashion, children’s clothing, shoes, technology, home furnishings, toys, eyewear, flowers, delicacies, beauty, and much more. Many major chains are represented, so you’re guaranteed to find what you need, and if you need to buy some delicious food, you can shop in one of Sweden’s best grocery stores, Sabis. The easiest way to get here is by subway and bus (or why not walk), but Fältöversten also has a parking garage if you’re driving (charging stations are available).

Västermalmsgallerian is a mall in Kungsholmen and has been a natural destination for shoppers in this part of Stockholm since 2002. You’ll find the galleria at the intersection of S:t Eriksgatan/Fleminggatan, near the subway station Fridhemsplan, and there are around 50 shops, services, and several restaurants and cafes.

The range in this shopping center is wide. There are clothing stores, shoe stores, technology stores, design and interior design stores, beauty stores, toy store, grocery store, and much more. The big brands dominate, and you’ll find many well-known Swedish and international chains. H&M, Polarn O. Pyret, Intimissimi, MQ MarQet, Granit, Lagerhaus, Kicks, Rituals, Synsam, Scorett, and ICA are some examples.

If you fancy something to eat, there’s a French bistro, hamburgers, sushi, and healthy fast food. And if you prefer to relax with a coffee, have a seat in one of the cafes. Besides, Västermalmsgallerian is one of the shopping centers in Stockholm that early adopted dog-friendly shopping. So bring your dog on the shopping trip – the pet shop Arken Zoo is the perfect starting point.

Bromma Blocks is a favored shopping center in western Stockholm, located in Bromma Airport’s cultural history hangars since 2005. Many of the stores in Bromma Blocks are also significantly larger in terms of surface area compared to many other malls in Stockholm. You can easily get to the shopping center by public transport (bus and tram), car, or motorcycle (there are over 2,000 parking spaces, including electric car charging). If you bring your children, there is both a playing area and a nursing room. And in Bromma Blocks, things are going on all the time. It’s a growing area that develops constantly, so expect even more from this shopping giant in the future.

If you’re looking for first-class shopping outside of Stockholm, Westfield Täby Centrum is an excellent option. It is one of Sweden’s and Stockholm’s largest malls, with 78,000 square meters offering nearly 200 shops plus restaurants, cafes, and entertainment. The shopping center has won awards for its selection and has been named Stockholmers’ favorite mall for several years.

The range of shops in Täby Centrum is a unique mix of both well-known Swedish brands and international giants. Foreign brands include New Yorker, Chanel, Levi’s, Nespresso, Gant, Lacoste, and Apple Store (their only store in the Stockholm area). Among the Swedish stores, you can find H&M, J.Lindeberg, Åhléns, Efva Attling, Hästens, Lexington, and Beyond Retro. In short, you can find everything you want, and if you would like help finding the right items in the vast selection, the mall’s personal shopper is at your service.

The wide selection of restaurants (40+) has the same high class, and here’s something for all tastes. Choose between sushi, tacos, pasta, hamburgers, poke bowls, bread, ice cream, coffee, and several other dishes from all over the world. If you rather buy food to take home, there are also several large grocery stores, a food market, and delicatessens.
