Here are our favorite spas around the city.
01
The Nest

The Nest’s sauna is shaped like an exotic bird’s nest
Do you want a wonderful relaxing experience in the middle of Stockholm with great views of the city? Then visit The Nest, Downtown Camper’s wellness area, on Brunkebergstorg. The Nest is located on the top floor of the hotel and has both an outdoor pool, sauna, experience showers, and relaxation rooms. The pool is heated to about 38 degrees all year, and there are a few things that beat taking a wonderful bath while looking out over our beautiful city. After your bath, you can relax in the sauna shaped like a bird’s nest (hence the name ‘The Nest’). You can also enjoy a mocktail or cocktail in the nice rooftop bar. And don’t miss Saturday nights when The Nest is open for Night Swimmers until 10 pm. A perfect way to start your evening.

Selma City Spa

Selma City Spa is the place to be if you want to enjoy a glass of bubbly whilst soaking in a pool and taking in the view of Stockholm’s rooftops. The spa belongs to the Clarion Hotel Sign at Norra Bantorget and is found on the hotel’s eighth floor. Here you get a full spa experience, with everything from massages to makeup. Of course, there’s also luxurious bathrobes, slippers, and saunas – and that rooftop pool is heated all year round. You can also order food and drinks during your visit – we definitely recommend the out-of-this-world sushi.

Elements Spa

When you enter Elements Spa, located at Clarion Hotel Stockholm, you enter an innovative and contemporary facility featuring Indian traditions – the perfect day visit or spa weekend. The idea behind this spa is to create an oasis at the hotel where guests can relax, be themselves, and feel pampered in an exotic spa environment with warm colors and unique designs. Ayurveda, the Indian philosophy of life, is the inspiration, with Ayurveda, yoga, pilates, and meditation the foundations of the concept. At Elements Spa, you can enjoy a variety of treatments such as water massages, a sauna in either steam or mixed herbs, and swimming – or you can just relax. There’s also an amazing spa menu.

Sturebadet, located in Sturegallerian at Stureplan, is another of the city’s classics. Opened in 1884 the idea back then was to offer Stockholmers exercise, swimming, and optimal health, and nothing has changed since then. Sturebadet offers nearly every treatment you can think of, from massages and body scrub to facials and manicures. And don’t miss the unique opportunity to relax in a Samian tent under the open starry sky where you can, among other things, bathe in a wooden tub filled with minerals while soothing Joik Music washes over you.

Luxury Spa

Luxury Spa is housed in the First Hotel Reisen at Skeppsbron, right next to the Royal Palace in Old Town. The focus is relaxation and luxury, and you can enjoy everything from a 20 minutes massage to a 2.5-hour luxury treatment – or even a cold glass of champagne in the jacuzzi. The feeling of peace and harmony you experience down in the cellar vault (from the 1600s) is one of a kind, and you can actually see parts of Stockholm’s old city wall in the vaults.

Here you can enjoy a classic Swedish massage, get a beauty treatment, be challenged by a personal trainer, visit a doctor of Chinese medicine, or get your body stretched by a chiropractor. It has everything to make your day perfect. The treatments are tailored to your needs and the inspiration comes from the Grand Hôtel’s closeness to the water and Stockholm’s archipelago.

Axelsons Spa

Axelsson’s Spa is a bit hidden: you’ll find it on the lower level of the mall Gallerian at Hamngatan – but finding it is well worth the effort. In the fresh premises, there is a wide range of both beauty and health treatments, and you are well taken care of by skilled therapists. If you are up for a real treat, you should invest in one of Axelsson’s spa packages, which include the resort’s most popular treatments, such as body scrub, spa massage, and facials.
