The Greasy Spoon
Enjoy a classic English breakfast at The Greasy Spoon
The Greasy Spoon gives a decidedly nostalgic tear to the eye. This brunch-spot was started by two Brits who filled a gap they saw in Stockholm for a place that served the classic English breakfast — Eggs Benedict, bacon and pancakes. ‘Breakfast & Brunch, all day, everyday!” their website proclaims. There’s also bottomless cups of brewed coffee, brunch cocktails (Bloody Mary, anyone?), goats’ cheese stacks and something called ‘Poached pear french toast’. Sign me up!

S/S Stockholm gives you the city’s best brunch view – Photo credit: © ArildV/Wikimedia Commons
We’ve mentioned it before, and it bears repeating: S/S Stockholm is one of the best ways to see the highlights of Stockholm from the water. This 1931 refurbished steamboat sails over crystal-blue waterways into the sunny archipelago that makes Stockholm so appealing in the summer months. When you go on the brunch cruise you dine on a restaurant of Swedish classics like meatballs, pickled herring and smoked salmon. There’s also a hefty smörgåsbord of brunch standards, from croissants to sausages to scrambled eggs. But it’s worth going for the postcard-perfect view alone.
