Sit down on the bar stools at the stylish green marble bar, or take a seat on the comfortable sofas. Beautiful old pharmacy cabinets and wooden boxes on the walls, plus the checkered floor further enhance the interior.
Add impeccable service and a fabulous atmosphere, and you can see why Pharmarium is super popular. It’s wise to book in advance (but there are also some drop-in spots).
Oummi
How about a heavenly cocktail in a super cozy setting that takes you on a journey to Lebanon – right in the middle of Stockholm’s historic Old Town? Then you should head to the Lebanese restaurant Oummi. Here, you can sip drinks in a magical world of beautiful textiles, velvet sofas, brass lanterns, and atmospheric lighting.

Alegria Tapas Bar
Alegria Tapas Bar at St Eriksplan is not only a destination for great tapas but also an oasis for drink enthusiasts. At their welcoming bar, you can explore an impressive collection of wines with an emphasis on Spanish producers, from robust reds to seductively fresh whites. In addition, good beers are available, both on tap and in bottles. Don’t miss their Sangria, a true classic. The bartenders at Alegria are also masters at creating classic and innovative cocktails.
Indulge yourself with one of their popular Frozen Daiquiris, which put a modern twist on traditional flavours and are reminiscent of Barcelona’s sunny beachfront terraces, or round off the evening with a tasty coffee drink. The atmosphere is lively and friendly, and the bar is the perfect place to go before an after-work drink, to relax with friends on a Saturday night, or to enjoy a romantic date with someone special. Let’s raise a glass to an unforgettable evening!
St Eriksplan 2A , Vasastan
A bar called Gemma
For cocktail fans, A bar called Gemma is heaven. From afternoon to late evening, you can enjoy creative and carefully crafted cocktails with imaginative names (the signature Gemma is a guest favorite). If you want something else to drink, this Östermalm bar also serves beer, wine, champagne, and non-alcoholic drinks. And if you’re hungry, there are light meals and snacks on the menu. Grappa
If you want to have a drink (or two) at Sankt Eriksplan in Vasastan, Grappa is a great choice. This Italian restaurant has a nice bar and lounge area where you can either sit at the bar or by the window and watch the crowds outside. Both the walls and furniture are red, and together with the long fancy bar and the checkered floor, it creates a cozy and pleasant atmosphere that’s perfect for everything from dates to after-work hangouts.
The bar has an extensive range of beverages with something for everyone – wine, champagne, beer, cider, whisky, gin, rum, liqueur, alcohol-free, and much more. Plus a large number of tasty cocktails and, of course, (as the name tells) the Italian spirit grappa. Should you get hungry, you can move to the restaurant, which serves a broad menu including à la carte, pizza, and pasta. The atmosphere is high night after night, and sometimes Grappa also offers live music, which guests more than appreciate. In addition, the restaurant has a private dining room and a large outdoor terrace in summer.
Melt Bar
MELT Bar is a cocktail bar with a long and exciting drinks list. What really stands out is that the drink menu consists of their own variations on 1920s drinks. Of course, all the bartenders are dressed in the same pattern.
The bar transports you back to the wild and most forbidden entertainment world of the 1920s. Despite the alcohol ban, the drinks at MELT Bar flow in covered containers. For example, their punchbowls are served in what are supposed to be tea or coffee cups to fool the liquor police. Because it’s not only the city’s only burlesque bar, but also a top-secret speakeasy. They describe themselves as a speakeasy and cabaret in the heart of Stockholm.
The burlesque shows mix singing, dancing, acrobatics and jugglers. Thursdays feature a unique version of bingo with a burlesque twist, while Fridays and Saturdays are filled with all kinds of performances, not least of the spontaneous variety.
It’s hard not to get swept up in the buzz, although the well-stocked cocktail menu doesn’t hurt. Adding to the effect is the framing of black, gold and red in the winding floors.
Amidst the wild and adventurous, there is a palpable warmth. The atmosphere is familiar and it really feels like a lively party with good friends. And it’s not uncommon for visitors to dress in period clothing to take the experience to the next level. We fully understand them.
Malmskillnadsgatan 45, Norrmalm/City
Sue Ellen
Remember Sue Ellen, the tipsy housewife from Dallas, one of the biggest TV shows of the 1980s? Turns out, she’s also the namesake of a cozy little bar in Vasastan. This classic neighborhood spot is perfect for dropping in whenever you feel like it, grabbing a drink or two, and catching up with friends. The vibe is laid-back, and the staff are super chill – it’s the kind of place where you’ll feel right at home.

This restaurant in Vasastan got you covered with pub favorites like schnitzel, entrecôte, and cod. But the real star of the week is Sue Ellen’s famous music quiz – a must for music geeks or anyone who loves to belt out tunes, even if they’re a little off-key.
If you’re after a wilder night, check out Cliff Barnes, Sue Ellen’s rowdier counterpart over on Norrtullsgatan. This lively spot serves up sweaty dance vibes, old-school hits, and, yes, the occasional table dance.

The stylish cocktail bar Coquetel Social is right in the middle of the action, more precisely in Stockholm’s vibrant bar and restaurant hub, Stureplan, and next door to Spy Bar, one of the city’s most famous nightclubs. This is the place to go if you want to sip drinks and mingle in a stylish and atmospheric environment. Skilled bartenders mix heavenly cocktails made from scratch with premium ingredients according to the rules of the art.
The luxury of the 1960s inspired Coquetel Social, and they have brilliantly mixed it with South American influences from Havana and Rio de Janeiro. The extraordinary space is combined with super-friendly staff and an incredible vibe (the bar has won several awards for best atmosphere).
Here, you can hang out after work, have an after-dinner drink, or stop by on your Stockholm night tour. And with the generous opening hours, it’s a great place to end the evening. In the summer there’s also a nice outdoor terrace.

In short, it’s the promised land for all gin lovers (if you want gin-free drinks, go elsewhere), but if you’re craving something other than cocktails, there’s beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages.
Snaps
Snaps is a good option if you’re looking for bars in Stockholm with a nightclub vibe. Conveniently located at Medborgarplatsen in Södermalm, the queue is often long – the generous opening hours have made it a popular party spot every day of the week. It’s housed in a beautiful building with a long history, dating back to 1679. Throughout history, much has happened within these walls, but today, it’s a restaurant, bar, and club.
Snaps has two party-filled floors, with the downstairs resembling a castle cellar with fancy crystal chandeliers on the ceiling. There’s also a pleasant wooden bar where you can order everything from classic cocktails to draft beer. During the warmer seasons of the year, Snaps takes it up a notch. That’s when their large, lovely outdoor terrace is open. Here, you can sip a good drink, hang out with friends, or just get some fresh air. Here, you can not only watch beer brewing in action, but this modern craft brewery also offers an excellent bar hangout in the church’s taproom, a cool room with incredibly stylish decor, to say the least. In the summer, they also have a large outdoor terrace.
Of course, craft beer plays the leading role in the bar at Omnipollos kyrka, and it’s the more exclusive kind of beer. There are around 15 different craft beers on tap (some of which come straight from the fermentation tanks), so you’re sure to find something to suit your taste. The beverage is best matched with one of the ambitious burgers or snacks that have made this place a popular restaurant in Sundbyberg.
So hop on the metro or commuter train to Sundbyberg station, then it’s just a short walk to the beer church. And if you want to stay in Stockholm, there’s also Omnipollos hatt in Södermalm with beer, pizza, and other goodies.
