Your guide to Stockholm’s finest pizza
Italian influences continue to make their mark on food trends around the world. Not least for the round goodies from Naples – one of the world’s oldest dishes that has become a given element in Swedish food culture. Today, a delicious pizza slice is high on most people’s top list. A lot has happened in the pizza world since it made its entrance, and in recent years we’ve seen a strong Neapolitan trend: thick, crispy bottom and slightly smaller size.
Being a city in northern Europe, the Swedish capital city offers fantastic opportunities to enjoy a really good pizza. Whether you’re here on a visit, business trip, or if it was late yesterday (New Year’s Day, anyone?), there’s something for everyone. And if you are a connoisseur when it comes to pizza, we can delight you with the fact that Neapolitan pizza in Stockholm has grown fast. Today, there’s an excellent fine pizzeria in almost all city areas. Perfect if you want something other than the neighborhood pizzeria’s Capricciosa, Vesuvio. or Hawaii. And, of course, most of them offer takeaway. Many also offer online ordering and home delivery via Foodora, Uber Eats, Wolt, etc.
But with the hundreds of pizza options that Stockholm offers, you may need some guidance on the way to find the right one for you. Therefore, we’ve created a guide to our favorites among Stockholm’s pizzerias. Boun appetito!
Giorgio’s
The pizzas are Neapolitan-style, and the menu offers both classics and more adventurous combinations. Bella Mortadella with mortadella, pistachio pesto, and burrata is a great example, as is Prosciutto e Tartufo with truffle sauce, Prosciutto di Parma, and truffle oil. There are also several vegetarian options if you prefer. Beyond pizza, they serve antipasti, pasta, and other beautifully prepared mains, and you can kick off the evening with a cocktail at the bar before your meal.
Giorgio’s works equally well for a quick midweek lunch or a full evening with a three-course dinner. And everyone’s welcome – couples, families with kids, friend groups, coworkers, and yes, dogs too.
Brillo Pizza
The pizzas are of course served in slices. They are made for sharing and enjoying together. The food is a perfect setting for an evening with friends, a relaxed AW or a long weekend lunch. Takeaway is an obvious option.
The menu at Brillo Pizza offers a nice mix that makes everyone feel welcome. It’s luxurious and unpretentious at the same time. The playful Kapritjosa sits alongside other classics like Vesuvio and Kebab Pizza. But here you can also discover New York-style Pepperoni, Truffles and ultra-fluffy Onion Rum, with aged priest cheese, fior di latte, crème fraiche, red onion, chives, dill. It’s a menu that makes getting together a little more fun.
A glass of bubbly is the perfect accompaniment. Or why not a glass of white, red or beer? Of course, there are non-alcoholic options at Brillo Pizza, but whatever you’re in the mood for, it’s a place to stay if you can. Especially on balmy summer evenings, when the outdoor seating really comes into its own.
Great pizzas at a great price – sometimes it doesn’t have to be more difficult than that.

What makes Sessanta stand out among Stockholm’s pizza places is how Scandinavian flavors and ingredients have beautifully influenced this Italian classic. The Bianco Fungo with garlic-sautéed mushrooms, lemon honey, and rosemary, and the popular Bianco la Svezia with roe, Västerbotten cheese, and crème fraîche are just some of the gems on the menu.
To accompany your pizza, you can order from a carefully curated wine list dominated by exceptional classic Italian wines. And if you want something to nibble on before your pizza arrives, there’s a great selection of small plates like burrata, beef tartare, and prosciutto.
