Located in the center of Stockholm at Sergels Torg, Paradox Museum is an experiential museum full of paradoxes and optical illusions that provides visitors with an unforgettable, educational and entertaining experience. Here you’ll have the chance to put your thinking cap on and find out if it’s really possible, and burst out laughing.

On the museum’s 1,000 square meters, the more than 70 paradox-based exhibits provide a world-class experience that is smart, fun and stands out among Stockholm’s other activities. The exhibition is filled with fun things to do that make you question the reality we live in and think twice, maybe three times about facts you perceive as given truths.

This is an analog museum where the visitor is actively involved at all times. Here, both vision and brain are tricked into believing that the impossible is possible. Does the wall tilt or is it the floor? Does the whole room rotate? Is it possible to touch 3D art? And what do I look like hanging upside down in an ordinary room? The answers to these questions and more will be provided after your visit.

The vast majority of the museum’s paradoxes are photo-based, allowing all visitors to take incredible and spectacular pictures and movies where you don’t know what’s up or down, big or small, what’s real or not. That the youngest child in the family can suddenly look bigger than his big brother is clearly something that must be documented in picture format, not least as a fun and thought-provoking memory. Visual illusions, contradictions, castles in the air, and absurdities challenge the little gray cells. A brain exercise that makes you leave the museum a little wiser and perhaps look at things a little differently.

The visitors are people of all stripes, from young and old, school groups, tourists, dating couples, and corporate teams. Paradox Museum is perfect for finding something fun to do with your friends, children, or even your grandchildren – something to counterbalance today’s sedentary mobile society. No matter who you are or with whom you visit this palace of experiences, you are guaranteed a real ”What? Aha! Wow” experience mixed with laughter.

Paradox Museum’s ambition is to offer an ultimate experience where visual, interactive, and unexpected experiences give the visitor a real challenge, to learn more about the brain, human visual ability, and perception. And they certainly succeed.

Today, Paradox Museum is also available in Oslo and Miami and soon they will open in Barcelona, Paris, and Limasol. Stockholm needs and deserves this kind of place, where you can do something other than just shop and work. That we all deserve this kind of cross-age entertainment, on a completely different level, becomes clear after visiting Paradox Museum.
