Hotel Gamla Stan has 81 rooms on Skeppsbron in the Old Town of Stockholm. The oldest part of the hotel dates back to the 17th century. The Hobelin House, was built in 1670 based on the drawings of the famous architect Nicodemus Tessin. Together with two adjoining buildings, located between Skottgränd and Stora Hoparegränd, it makes up the present hotel. The old heritage is visible in some of the rooms where parts of the hand-painted medieval city wall still can be admired.
The rooms along Skeppsbron have a fantastic view of Saltsjön, Skeppsholmen, Djurgården, and the inlet of Stockholm. With its location in Old Town, with its narrow cobblestone alleys, lovely boutiques, cafés, and restaurants, the Hotel Gamla Stan resides in the heart of the city with many of its most famous tourist attractions within walking distance.
All rooms are different in shape and size, but all are decorated with custom-made furniture, decorative fabrics and equipped with comfortable beds and private bathrooms. The cellar vaults have been converted into a charming breakfast room and the popular breakfast buffet is included in all room prices.
