Taverna Brillo

Being an easter weekend, as well as a Sunday, it wasn’t an easy thing for Andy and I to find a good lunch spot in the city. We walked around Östermalm and Stureplan looking for a place that was open without any further luck. We ended up at Jamie’s Italian, but with a large queue of people already waiting in front of us and staff completely ignoring the whole queue ruined our experience before it had even started. So we crossed the street to Taverna Brillo instead and were greated with smiles and good service instantly.

Our waitress, who I should’ve taken the name of for a big shoutout, was so nice and friendly and providided us with truly amazing service and we couldn’t have been happier with our choice of restaurant even before we had our plates in front of us.

As for the food, there’s really not much else to say other than it was incredibly good and satisfying. The portion size was perfect for a girl like me, however a big guy like Andy did need a bigger serving – which he also got. It’s all about that protein, people!

LambAndy had the Grilled lambracks provencale with fried artichoke, radicchio with a side of steamed broccoli and goat cheese. I’m not a huge fan of lamb, but I have to say this was actually really good!

IMG_5679IMG_5682I ate the Grilled secreto Iberico with harico verts, onion with vinegar, cep aioli and french fries, a rich and tasty dish that more satisfied my taste buds and hungry stomach.

Taverna Brillo is located on Sturegatan 6 in the heart of Stureplan and serve Italian food with a Swedish touch. It’s the perfect place if you want to feel the city’s pulse, have a nice meal or a drink and hang out with friends or family!
