#Stockholmsjul 2019

- decorates the city with a million Christmas Lights

The Christmas spirit has already shown up in Stockholm, thanks to the initiative #Stockholmsjul. The Christmas lights shine in full until Monday, January 13, and are lit most of the dark hours.

Stockholmsjul is a recurring event that decorates the city with Swedish Christmas traditions in modern vintage style. Among other things, you’ll enjoy moose, cones, deer, trees, reindeer, angels, and a giant mistletoe.

Sparkling light walk keeps the dark away

If you want to experience this year’s Christmas lights in the best way, we suggest you walk the light walk – either the whole route or one of the shorter ones. During the walk, you will experience a wide range of beautiful and glittering light installations such as crowns, angels, moose, reindeers, and stars. In other words, a guaranteed cure for the dark season. The map of the walk light is available at hotels and tourist offices or can be downloaded here.

You’ll find the Christmas lights in more than 40 streets, places, and squares. Some examples are Nybroviken, Kungsgatan, Sergels Torg, Biblioteksgatan, and Hamngatan.
