If you like jazz, you should save the dates October 10 to 19, 2014. That’s when the Stockholm Jazz Festival is held. This music manifestation is one of Sweden’s oldest festivals and one of Stockholm’s biggest events. As a visitor, you will be offered a range of fantastic artists, both Swedish and international.

It do not mean a thing if it is not got that swing, jazz legend Duke Ellington once said. And as a visitor at the Stockholm Jazz Festival, you will surely not miss the swing. This well kept and friendly festival, which previously was locatad at Skeppsholmen during the summer, has since 2012 moved indoors to the city’s best scenes. It has also been extended to the 10 days, so you really can enjoy world-class jazz.

Examples of artists you will be able to enjoy at more than 30 stages all over Stockholm include Angelique Kidjo, Elaine Elias, Wayne Shorter Quartet, Jamie Cullum, José James, Kris Bowers, Julia Biel, Rigmor Gustafsson, Sofia Jernberg, Nina Ramsby, and Martin Hederos. There is a wide variety in the festival program, and the other artists and concert times can be found here.

Jazz is a musical style where the interest just keeps increasing, especially among young people. The audience grows and the music is heard at more and more scenes.
