STHLM TAPAS Vasastan is not a Spanish restaurant. No, it has tapas from all over the world on the menu. A place to meet friends, enjoy and treat yourself.
“You should feel like you’re having a barbeque in your backyard,” says Peter Zander, who owns and runs STHLM TAPAS together with Patrick Nendrén.

STHLM TAPAS Vasastan was recently ranked 13th out of 3,318 dining options in Stockholm by TripAdvisor. There is an explanation for the high rank. The food, of course, but there’s one more – the staff.

“We put an incredible amount of thought into recruitment. And, we’ve successfully found people who love to give service, not just for their benefit, but because they think it’s fun,” says Zander.
And this reflects on the customers.
“It’s supposed to feel like a barbeque at home, not contrived and boring, and absolutely not snobbish. We have happy guests, we are all friends and our humor is also in the menus.”
Guests are also advised to leave the need to control at home when visiting the Eldorado of snacks and appetizers on Torsgatan.
“Our chefs prepare the food when an order is placed. Certain meals take longer time than others to prepare and we serve them as soon as they are ready. That’s why we advise our guests to share as much as possible so that no one has to sit and wait alone for the meals that take longer time,” he says.

The all-over-the-world perspective also applies to the choice of wine. Pinot Noir from New Zealand, Ripasso from Italy, Rioja from Spain and many more delicious wines can be found on the menu.
And finally, Cava. Something that’s really valued highly here. On the glass, bottle, cheap or expensive – but always good. Yes, there’s also beer, for example, Inedit, which is considered one of the best beers to accompany food in the world.
It would also be smart to book a table in advance.

Peter Zander och Patrick Nendrén also have a sister restaurant on Pontonjärgatan on Kungsholmen. The concept is the same, but it’s run by a franchiser.
