Last week I visited the opening of Scandic Haymarket, located in the old PUB building next to Hötorget. It has an art-deco themed hotel interior including a harmony between original architecture from the early 1920’s and modern design.
Paul’s is the main restaurant inside this hotel – an American brasserie influenced by the classic European cuisine. They serve lunch and dinner, and brunch during weekends. On the menu you find for example oysters, hamburger, entrecôte and duck breast.
In the picture you see duck breast served with roasted peach, carrots and ginger, delicious!
Smoked oysters with dashi and cucumber and “Bloody Mary” oysters
Pineapple ravioli with rum, coconut and mint sorbet
I give this place the highest score, both for the food and the vibe. The interior is amazing, so beautiful and tasteful!
At Scandic Haymarket you also find:
Gretas – a café serving everything from coffee to oysters and champagne. A modern interpretation of the 20’s glamour and expressions.
Americain – a sofisticated cocktail bar, serving elegant and well-mixed cocktails. Here you can also order some dishes from Paul’s to enjoy in the bar.
