Shahrzad, located in the cross of regeringsgatan and Birger Jarlsgatan, offers genuin Persian food culture in top-class. This is definitely the place to go to if you want to eat good Persian food in Stockholm! The food is so good and the service is excellent. If you go there in the weekends you don’t just get the gastronomic experience but also entertainment with dance and music.
Below you see pictures from a tasting menu consisting of appetizers, main course and desserts. The appetizers where different relishes, lamb sausage in a spicy tomato sauce and Persian omelett. For main corse we had lamb served with that tasty saffron rice and different sauces. The desserts were just amazing, saffron ice cream, date plum filled with walnuts in cinnamon sauce and baklava. Loved it!
I strongly recommend a visit at this place, you won’t be disappointed!
Tips! The owners of the restaurant just published their own cook book ”Mammas persiska kök”. The book is perfect if you want to learn how to cook that delicious Persian food at home. If you are interested you can read more and order it here: http://restaurangshahrzad.tictail.com/product/bok.
