Are you a fan of high-quality shoes? Then you should visit Myrqvist’s store in the mall Mood Stockholm in central Stockholm – or the online shop.
“I think we’ve found our position in the market. Shoes that cost 5,000-6,000 SEK in other stores you can buy for half the price at Myrqvist,” says Sebastian Öhrn, owner and founder of the store.

The secret behind Myrqvist being able to design and produce shoes of very high quality for almost half the price compared to the traditional retail trade is the logistics. They sell directly to the customer, online or in the store, without using any resellers, agents or distributors.
Besides shoes, they offer accessories such as scarves, socks and so on under the Myrqvist brand, and in the store, you’ll also have a lot of their shoe care supply, at the same prices as online.
The secret behind Myrqvist being able to design and produce shoes of very high quality for almost half the price is the logistics.
Sebastian Öhrn studied business, and after five years of education at St. Andrews in Scotland, he realized that it would be exciting to be an entrepreneur. And he had actually already started selling shoe trees during his studies.
“I purchased shoe trees from China and sold them on my website Herrstil.com directly to the customer. I managed to get bloggers to write about the shoe trees and soon the website grew to include other shoe care products such as creams and brushes,” says Sebastian Öhrn.

After selling shoe trees and shoe care products for a couple of years, he felt it was time to begin making high-quality leather shoes. To get the funding, he started a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter: money in exchange for products. The goal was to raise 100,000 SEK, and that amount was already reached on the first day.
Three weeks later, the amount was 700,000 SEK, and the production of his shoe brand Myrqvist could begin. The shoes are now sold online on myrqvist.se and in the physical store in the mall Mood Stockholm, located in Norrmalm in central Stockholm.
