Located in the heart of Old Town, the Lady Hamilton Hotel is a romantic and charming accommodation with a lot of character. It’s situated right next to the Royal Palace, making it a great base for your touring in Stockholm.
As a member of the Collector’s Hotels, the Lady Hamilton is decorated with an incredible collection of antiques. This collection includes various Maritime objects, statues, plates, paintings, pictures, dolls, and more. I was surprised to learn that the Collector’s Hotel group currently has the fifth largest private collection of maritime objects in the world! The traditional folk-style décor certainly enhances the feminine and charismatic atmosphere.
The Lady Hamilton is a fairly small hotel, with around 13 uniquely decorated rooms and apartments. We stayed in a small double room, which actually felt quite spacious. Like the rest of the hotel, our room was decorated with various antiques including photographs and paintings. It was a fairly simple room, but with the lower price point, we thought it was a great value overall.
Staying at the Lady Hamilton includes a complimentary breakfast buffet. This is always an appreciated feature in the pricey city of Stockholm! During our stay, the main dining room was undergoing construction (which was a shame, as we heard the Afternoon Tea served there is delightful!). Instead, we dined in a cozy brick cellar lit with candlelight. Dishes served included freshly baked breads, meats and cheeses, yoghurt and muesli, as well as scrambled eggs, Swedish prince sausages and meatballs. A delicious start to the day!
Overall, I would definitely recommend choosing the Lady Hamilton Hotel if you’re looking to stay in a central location with a charming atmosphere. It’s perfect for a romantic getaway in Stockholm’s Old Town. Once you stay there, it’s easy to see why the Lady Hamilton has earned a Certificate of Excellence from Trip Advisor.
