Stockholm is a gay friendly city with rainbow flags in every neighborhood. The city is becoming a hot destination for the gay crowd, and most people are coming here for the fabulous gay parties, and cozy gay cafés. Not to mention the annual Pride festival every summer. Stockholm does not have any particular gay district – you’ll find bars and clubs all over town. Here are our top five gay places.
1. Zipper
Zipper is an award winning gay club that has been housed in difference locations in Stockholm. Nowadays you find it at Fridhemsplan. New look, new location but same wild party! In other words – it is a must to experience Zipper when you visit Stockholm.

2. Candy
With three dance floors, 1,200 people and a colorful celebration, the gay club Candy is the place to be if you are looking for party. You find Candy on the nightclub Le Bon Palais on Fridays, and the newly opened club will hopefully be the new Friday hit for the gay community.

3. Patricia
If you are going out on a Sunday night, Patricia is the place to be. The nightclub is located on a boat on Södermalm (close to Slussen) for ages, and the classic Sunday gay night is very special both for the club staff and of course the guests. This is definitely the evening of the week and sometimes there is also a performance onboard. In other words, it can be crowded on these party Sundays.

4. Torget
Torget is one of Stockholm’s oldest gay bars and restaurants. It opened in November 2000, which means they are celebrating their 14th anniversary this year. The bar is located in Old Town next to the underground station. Enjoy drinks, some good old fashioned homemade food or cocktails prepared by Torget’s bartenders and chefs. Every Friday and Saturday there are also DJs playing your favorite music.

5. Sidetrack
On Stockholm´s southern island (Södermalm), you will find Sidetrack which has been one of the city´s top gay hotspots for more than 15 years. Sidetrack offers a great and affordable menu (it is usually crowded so it might be a good idea to book a table) and a variety of entertainment throughout the week, including quiz night and music.
