Some of us have workplaces where dogs are welcome. Others don’t and need someone to look after their furry friend during the working day. Some dog owners hire a dog sitter, but a common option is to leave your dog at a daycare center—either full-time or a few days a week.

At a good dog daycare, your furry family member will have a harmonious and meaningful stay during the days. They can go for walks and enjoy fun and stimulating activities in dog-friendly environments both indoors and outdoors.

Find the right dog daycare in Stockholm

Poodle, Labrador, Golden Retriever, Cocker Spaniel, French Bulldog, Pug, or Jack Russell Terrier – whatever kind of dog you have, there are plenty of dog daycare centers all over dog-friendly Stockholm that can take care of your sweetheart. Many also offer pick-up and drop-off plus a range of other services such as dog boarding if you’re going away, dog training courses, and shops for food and other dog accessories.

But with so much choice, it’s not always easy to find the right daycare for your dog. So to help you find the right place for your four-legged bestie, we’ve put together a guide to dog daycare in Stockholm.

Once your dog has a place, it will always start with an induction, usually lasting a week. Also, keep in mind that your dog will need to be fully vaccinated and insured before it can start daycare. And there are often other rules, such as castration for male dogs and age limits for puppies.

Stockholms Hundforum

Stockholms Hundforum has been around since 2000, and with that experience, they know most things worth knowing about different breeds and their needs. They are mainly family dog experts and currently operate five locations around central Stockholm – two in Kungsholmen, two in Vasastan, and one in Södermalm. Some of the locations accept both large and small dogs, while others focus on small and medium-sized. And no matter which place you choose, your darling will be taken care of by well-trained staff.

The dogs are kept in large groups that have been put together with great care to ensure that everyone is happy and comfortable. In the nice and spacious premises there’s plenty of room for both coziness and rest with sofas, beds, huts, and other nooks. The indoor stay is mixed with nice long walks where the staff also work with mental stimulation and other ways to enrich your dog’s days – always adapted to the breed and personality. Stockholms Hundforum also offers dog courses, extra training (for example agility), a shop, and a kennel with breeding.
