Last weekend we had an amazing three course dinner at Bistro Ruby. Bistro Ruby is a French inspired restaurant located at Österlånggatan 14 in Stockholm’s Old Town (Gamla Stan). The interior is very charming with red colored walls, rustic furniture and lots of lights and candles. On the menu you find classic dishes such as entrecôte café de Paris, Moules frites and Toast Skagen. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the service is great.
For appetizer we had a really interesting combo: Shrimps in dill and mayonaisse (“Skagenröra”), gravlax and steak tartar. We started from the left and went to the right, going from less raw to the most raw. I really liked it!
The main course was so tasty. I had lamb racks served with lentils, olives and a pear and pumpkin puree. – flavors on point!
For dessert I had chocolate cake with strawberry sauce and whipped cream – nothing special really and yet so tasty.
After the dinner we went just next door for a drink at Grill Ruby. At Grill Ruby, you find a more Texas inspired menu with robust barbecue dishes such as burgers, ribeye steak, quesadillas and surf and turf. In here the atmosphere is a bit more loud and vivid compared to the cozy bistro.
Overall I really recommend a visit at these two places! Bistro Ruby if you are going for a romantic date and Grill Ruby if you want to hang out with a group of friends.
